- 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
- 3/4 cup Brown Sugar, packed
- 2 large Eggs
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 1/2 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- 1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 1/4 cup Vegetable Oil
- 1/2 cup Hot Water
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
- Gradually blend in the dry ingredients.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together cocoa powder and hot water until smooth. Stir in vegetable oil.
- Pour the cocoa mixture into the cookie dough and mix until just combined.
- Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until edges are set and the center is slightly soft.
- Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
