These Valentine’s Day Rolo Pretzels are the ultimate quick-fix treat. Combining the crunch of a pretzel, the chewy caramel of a Rolo, and the festive colors of Valentine’s M&Ms, they are perfect for gifting or party platters.
Pretzel Snaps (square shaped) – 60 count
Rolo candies (unwrapped) – 60 count
Valentine’s Mix M&M’s (pink, red, white) – 1/2 cup
Valentine’s Day colored sprinkles – 2 tablespoons
Preheat your oven to 250°F. Line a large cookie sheet with parchment paper, a silpat liner, or aluminum foil.
Arrange the pretzel snaps in a single layer on the prepared cookie sheet.
Place one unwrapped Rolo candy in the center of each pretzel square.
Bake for 4 to 5 minutes. Watch closely; the chocolate should look glossy and soft but the Rolo should still maintain its shape.
Remove from the oven. Immediately press a Valentine’s M&M into the center of each Rolo, pressing down gently to spread the chocolate.
Work in rows: add M&Ms to one row, then immediately follow with sprinkles before moving to the next row to ensure they stick.
Allow the treats to cool at room temperature for approximately 2 hours to firm up. To speed this up, refrigerate for 20-30 minutes.
• Do not overbake! If the Rolos melt into a puddle, they will be difficult to handle.
• Use a “pretzel snap” (the grid style) for the best surface area to hold the chocolate.
• Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
