These Game Day Football Brownies are the perfect combination of convenience and gourmet flavor. By swapping water for hot coffee and adding a homemade ganache, you turn a standard box mix into a show-stopping Super Bowl dessert.

Ingredients

Scale

1 box brownie mix (18.4 oz)

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1/3 cup hot coffee

1 large egg

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/3 cup heavy cream

1/3 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350F then line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper and set aside.

In a large bowl combine the brownie mix, oil, coffee, and the egg and whisk until combined.

Pour into the prepared baking pan and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.

Allow the brownies to cool down fully before using a football cookie cutter and cutting your brownies into football-shaped brownies.

If they are soft, place them on a parchment-lined cookie sheet then put them in the freezer for 10-15 minutes to make them easier to handle.

In a medium bowl add the chocolate chips and top that with the hot heavy cream that you microwave for 30-45 seconds.

Allow that to sit together covered for a few minutes then whisk the chocolate mixture to combine and create a smooth chocolate ganache.

Dip the top of the brownies in the warm chocolate ganache then place back in the baking sheet.

Melt white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second increments and transfer to a piping bag.

Pipe the football design onto the set ganache using the melted white chocolate.

Notes

• Use the brownie scraps to make brownie truffles or an ice cream topping.

• Ensure the coffee is hot to help bloom the cocoa in the brownie mix.

• Don’t skip the freezer step; it makes the brownies much easier to dip in ganache.
