  • 1 cup cake flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (cold)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chunks
  • 1 cup walnuts (chopped)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cake flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, cream together the cold butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Stir in the chocolate chunks and walnuts.
  • Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes.
  • Scoop large mounds of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Bake for 11-13 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is still slightly soft.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
